Throughout his career, Brick has drawn inspiration from his dad, a former nuclear submarine commander for the United States Navy.  Brick aspires to emulate the traits his dad lives by – discipline, focus and leadership.

A self-described competitive person, Brick fosters collaboration in transactions by striving to come up with “win-win” scenarios where each side can thrive in their respective businesses.  Brick enjoys cultivating long-term client relationships with growth-oriented businesses.  Prior to joining Ruder Ware, he was in-house counsel for a national, vertically integrated telecom firm he had represented for over twenty years while working for a prior law firm.

For nearly 30 years, Brick has represented businesses and financial institutions in complex finance, corporate, and real estate matters. He has a passion for mergers and acquisition transactions and brings a wealth of experience and energy to joint venture and infrastructure type projects.

Brick currently serves on the board of a national lender based in Wisconsin.  This exposure to the inner workings of a national banking firm has bolstered the value Brick can bring to financial institutions on a variety of credit transactions and through collateral protection strategies.

A De Pere native and double UW-Badger graduate, Brick’s daughter is the most important part of his life.  Outside of work Brick loves to play tennis, practice yoga, and tries hard to never miss a spin class at his local gym.
