As a lifelong resident of the Green Bay area, it’s hard for Ron to walk down the streets of Green Bay without being stopped for a handshake and hello.
Having practiced business law and real estate law, including debt collection, for more than 35 years, Ron has worked with many businesses and people in the community, helping them grow and thrive. At Ruder Ware, Ron works with clients to develop appropriate collection protocols. He understands the process so well it allows him to customize strategies rather than approaching every collection the same way. Because of this cost-effective approach, Ron decreases delinquency, increases recovery, improves cash flow, and minimize losses for his clients.
Recent engagements have included:
- Bank collection and litigation, including claims and/or counterclaims of banks’ customers.
- Commercial debt collections, including protecting creditors’ rights in bankruptcy, as well as civil, small claims, evictions and money judgments.
- Construction disputes for large projects – helped clients get paid by aggressive enforcement of construction liens.
- Obtained and collected judgments in Wisconsin for out-of-state clients.
- Real estate development – assisted client in matters involving municipal approval.
- Municipal real estate tax issues.
When not practicing law, one of Ron’s many passions is coaching. Ron has coached multiple sports, including high school cross country and high school softball. He is presently the Head Varsity Softball Coach of Green Bay Preble High School, has three times been awarded the Fox River Classic Conference Coach of the Year, and was recently selected to coach the Division 1 Wisconsin Softball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Team. Ron is also very involved in grade school, junior high, and high school girls’ summer softball leagues and tournament travel teams. Ron is an active member of the Optimist Club of Green Bay, Inc. and its foundation, both of which serve the youth in their community in many ways. Ron and his wife, Robin, are the proud parents of three adult children–two daughters and a son, as well as a grandson.
