Dean was recognized for his years of service, leadership, and passion for advancing services to families with young children. He has led the Start Right Advocacy Board for six years and this year led the formation of an early childhood advocacy council.
As an advocate, Dean recently spoke to the Marathon County Board advocating for funding for Start Right, a collaborative program between the Health Department of Children’s Service Society that focuses on families with young children. In addition, he has attended meetings in Madison to help our state representatives understand the importance of investing in services for young children.
