2025 HSA Limits Are Announced

On May 9, 2024, the IRS announced the Health Savings Account limits for 2025. With respect to contribution limits, the limits are higher than the ones for 2024 and the required deductible and out-of-pocket maximums have increased as well. As a reminder, these inflation adjusted amounts are effective for calendar year 2025.

Limit on HSA Contributions – Family HDHP | 2024 – $8,300
2025 – $8,550 |
HDHP Required Deductible – Self-only HDHP | 2024 – $1,600
2025 – $1,650 |
HDHP Required Deductible – Family HDHP | 2024 – $3,200
2025 – $3,300 |
HDHP Out-of-pocket Maximum – Self-only HDHP | 2024 – $8,050
2025 – $8,300 |
HDHP Out-of-pocket Maximum – Family HDHP | 2024 – $16,100
2025 – $16,600 |
HSA Catch-up Contribution Limit | 2024 – $1,000
2025 – $1,000 |
All of the above are for calendar year 2025.
